§121 Discontinuance of Land Offices by President

Summary
The President may close a land office and move its business and records to another land office in the same State or Territory, but only if the Secretary of the Interior recommends it.

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of the Interior, the President may order the discontinuance of any land office and the transfer of any of its business and archives to any other land office within the same State or Territory.
