Title 43 › Chapter 32B— COLORADO RIVER FLOODWAY › § 1600g
Does not change or conflict with certain Colorado River agreements, the 1944 water treaty with Mexico, the Flood Control Act of 1944, the Supreme Court decree in Arizona v. California, or the Boulder Canyon and other Colorado River project laws. Those older compacts, treaties, acts, and court orders keep their force. Does not alter how federal law works with state, tribal, or local law, and does not excuse anyone from duties under state or tribal law. A state, tribe, or local rule stays in effect unless it directly conflicts and cannot be made to work with federal law. Any conflicts will be reviewed by the task force, which will make recommendations. It also does not stop a state or tribe from protecting or restoring lands inside its borders.
