Allows the Secretary to spend money in an emergency when there aren’t enough search, rescue, or protection teams available. Covers searching for people lost on public lands; protecting or rescuing people or animals in natural disasters; and moving dead or seriously ill or injured persons to the nearest place with interested parties or local authorities.
