Title 43 › Chapter 43— SUSPENDED ENTRIES AND CLAIMS; PATENTS › § 2507
The Secretary of the Interior, or someone he appoints, must confirm an application, entry, or final proof made under the homestead or other land laws if a local land office made a mistake before March 9, 1904. This is allowed only when there was no fraud by the claimant, no earlier competing claim to the land, and no other reason to deny the claimant’s title, except that the document was filed outside the correct land district required by the Act of March 11, 1902.
