§315h Cooperation with Associations, Land Officials, and Agencies Engaged in Conservation or Propagation of Wildlife; Local Hearings on Appeals; Acceptance and Use of Contributions

Summary

The Secretary of the Interior must make rules to work with local ranchers' groups, state land officials, and state wildlife agencies that care about grazing areas. The Secretary must also set up local appeal hearings for challenges to decisions by the local land manager, using procedures like those in the land department. The Secretary can take donations for managing, protecting, and improving lands inside or outside grazing districts. That money goes into a special Treasury fund that can be used until spent. The fund pays those land costs and can refund donors who paid more than their share.
