Title 43 › Chapter 2— UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY › § 44
The Director of the United States Geological Survey must provide transfers or copies of map or other engraved or lithographic data held by the Survey’s engraving and printing division to any person, business, institution, State, or foreign government that requests them, as long as doing so does not interfere with the Survey’s regular map work. Those who ask must pay the full cost in advance plus 10 percent, and the money received must be deposited in the Treasury.
