§451e Amendment of Farm Unit; Application; Amount of Land; Exchange; Waiver

Summary

If an entryman on an unpatented farm unit in a Federal irrigation project applies on time and a land classification shows the unit is too small to support a family, the Secretary may, on terms he approves, combine part or all of that unit with other lands on the same project that are open to entry or purchase to make a new unit no larger than 320 acres and with no more than 160 irrigable acres. Accepting the new unit counts as an exchange. When the Secretary gives the same option to a private owner under section 451a, he may waive all or part of clause (iii) of subsection (b) of section 451a.
