The Secretary of the Interior can set rents and lease federal reserved land inside Boulder City, Nevada. Under rules the Secretary creates, leases may be made without public advertising, must charge at least the set rent, and may run for up to 53 years. All money from these leases must be deposited in the U.S. Treasury and applied to the Colorado River Dam fund established by section 617a.
