Title 43 › Chapter 12B— COLORADO RIVER STORAGE PROJECT › § 620d–1
Money that the Upper Colorado River Basin Fund already spent or later spends to make up for reduced power at Hoover Dam while filling storage units under the Glen Canyon Reservoir filling rules (27 Fed. Reg. 6851, July 19, 1962) must be paid back from the Colorado River Development Fund. To do that, $500,000 each year of Hoover Dam operation, starting in fiscal year 1970, will be moved from the Colorado River Development Fund into the Upper Colorado River Basin Fund instead of being used for the purposes in section 618a(d), until the money is fully repaid. If any balance is still unpaid by June 1, 1987, the rest will be transferred from the Lower Colorado River Basin Development Fund as allowed by section 1543(g).
