§1333 National High School and College Debate Topics

Summary

The Librarian of Congress must make collections of excerpts, reference lists, and other helpful materials about the national debate topics chosen each year. One collection is for the high school topic picked by the National University Extension Association. The other is for the college topic picked by the American Speech Association. The collections must show both sides fairly. High school collections are printed as Senate documents. College collections are printed as House documents. Congress pays the printing and binding costs. The Joint Committee on Printing may order extra copies and decide how to distribute them.
