§738 Binding of Publications for Distribution to Libraries

Summary

The Director of the Government Publishing Office must give the Superintendent of Documents enough unbound copies so they can be bound and sent to State libraries and other official depositories for their permanent files. Large publications about one subject must be bound on their own and given a subject title; other works are sent unbound as soon as printed. Library editions and all bound sets of congressional numbered documents and reports must be put into volumes and bound the way the Joint Committee on Printing requires.
