Title 45 › Chapter 16— REGIONAL RAIL REORGANIZATION › Subchapter VII— PROTECTION OF EMPLOYEES › § 797e
The Corporation may move, reassign, or combine work that came from a railroad it bought to any place or job on its system when a group of workers does not have a union contract that gives them a similar transfer process. It must not take the work out of any union contract or violate existing job-class rights where the work is sent. Before doing this, the Corporation must reach an agreement with the workers’ representatives that lets affected employees follow their work. This power lasts only while benefits under this subchapter are paid with funds made available under section 797l.
