Within 1 year after the Don Young Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2022 becomes law, and every year after that, the Commandant must send a report to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. The report must say how many reports and penalties were made under section 10104; how many investigations are open or finished and what happened in them; how many assessments or audits under section 3203 were done and their results; a statistical review of compliance with the safety management system rules in section 3203; how many credentials were denied or revoked for sexual harassment, sexual assault, or related offenses; and recommendations, including needed funding and any proposed law changes, to improve investigations and oversight and to ensure compliance with title CXVI. When gathering this information, the Commandant must protect the privacy rights of the people who are the subjects of the information.
