§1404 National Security Restrictions on Use of Funds and Auction Participation

Summary

Federal money from subchapter II or III must not be used to pay anyone who has been barred for national security reasons from getting a government contract. A person barred by a federal agency for national security reasons cannot take part in competitive bidding under section 309(j). That ban covers auctions required by this chapter and auctions for spectrum rights made available under clause (i) of subparagraph (G) of paragraph (8) of section 309(j), as added by section 6402. "Person described" means someone a federal agency has barred from bidding on a contract, joining an auction, or receiving a grant for national security reasons.
