Title 47 › Chapter 16— BROADBAND ACCESS › Subchapter IV— BROADBAND AFFORDABILITY › § 1753
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) must create rules, within 1 year after November 15, 2021, requiring broadband consumer labels like those in the FCC’s April 4, 2016 Public Notice (DA 16–357) to show key plan details to customers. The labels must note if a price is an introductory rate and state the price after that period. The FCC must use those label prices for data collection under section 60502(c). When the FCC issues the final rule, it must hold public hearings to learn how people compare broadband plans and to check whether required disclosures, including those in 47 CFR 8.1, are available, clear, and sufficient.
