Title 47 › Chapter 5— WIRE OR RADIO COMMUNICATION › Subchapter II— COMMON CARRIERS › Part I— Common Carrier Regulation › § 218
The Commission can investigate how all carriers covered by this law run their businesses. It must keep up with how they operate and with technical advances in wired and radio communications and radio transmission of energy so new inventions can benefit people in the United States. The Commission can require full information from those carriers and from anyone who controls them, is controlled by them, or is under the same control, when it needs that information to carry out its duties.
