Title 48 › Chapter 11— ALIEN OWNERS OF LAND › § 1504
A foreign person who holds land in a U.S. Territory against the rules may transfer or sell it any time before the government starts formal proceedings to take the land. If the transfer is made to another foreigner or to a U.S. citizen as a trust or mainly to dodge the rules, the transfer is invalid and the land is taken by the United States.
