Title 48 › Chapter 13— EASTERN SAMOA › § 1666
If the Secretary of the Interior asks, heads of federal departments, agencies, or corporations may give American Samoa free scientific, technical, and other help under programs they run when the Interior Secretary thinks it will help the territory. That free help does not include money from grant-in-aid programs. The Interior Secretary must not ask for free help that the agency heads estimate will cost more than $150,000 in total in any one fiscal year. The Secretary of Agriculture may extend the benefits of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act to American Samoa. The Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare may extend the Vocational Education Act of 1946, the Hospital Survey and Construction Act, and section 246 of title 42 to American Samoa.
