Summary

Gives the Department of the Interior money from the U.S. Treasury, as needed and available until spent, to carry out sections 1921d(f)(1) and 1921d(i) of this title and certain Compact provisions: U.S.-FSM 211, 212(b), 215, 217; U.S.-RMI 211, 212, 213(b), 216, 218. Also makes money available, as needed and available until spent, for the departments, agencies, and instrumentalities named in paragraphs (1) and (3)–(6) of section 221(a) (U.S.-FSM) and paragraphs (1) and (3)–(5) of section 221(a) (U.S.-RMI) to carry out section 221(a) of each Compact.

(a)There are authorized and appropriated to the Department of the Interior, out of any funds in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to remain available until expended, such sums as are necessary to carry out the purposes of section 1921d(f)(1) and 1921d(i) of this title, section 211, 212(b), 215, and 217 of the U.S.-FSM Compact, and section 211, 212, 213(b), 216, and 218 of the U.S.-RMI Compact, in this and subsequent years.

(b)There are authorized to be appropriated to the Departments, agencies, and instrumentalities named in paragraphs (1) and (3) through (6) of section 221(a) of the U.S.-FSM Compact and paragraphs (1) and (3) through (5) of section 221(a) of the U.S.-RMI Compact, such sums as are necessary to carry out the purposes of section 221(a) of the U.S.-FSM Compact and the U.S.-RMI Compact, to remain available until expended.
