The Governor and the Legislature cannot control, supervise, review, or interfere with the Oversight Board, and they cannot make or enforce laws or rules that would stop the board from carrying out this chapter, as the board decides. In any lawsuit involving the board, it must be represented by lawyers it hires who follow conflict-of-interest rules.
