Title 49 › Subtitle SUBTITLE VII— AVIATION PROGRAMS › Part A— AIR COMMERCE AND SAFETY › Subpart iv— enforcement and penalties › Chapter 465— SPECIAL AIRCRAFT JURISDICTION OF THE UNITED STATES › § 46506
If someone on a U.S. aircraft in the special aircraft jurisdiction commits an act that would be a crime under certain parts of federal law, they can be punished the same way as if the crime happened in the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States. The listed parts are Title 18 sections 113, 114, 661, 662, 1111, 1112, 1113, 2111, and chapter 109A; punishment can be fines, prison, or both under those laws. If the act would violate section 9 of the Act of July 29, 1892 (D.C. Code § 22-1112) if done in Washington, D.C., the person can be fined, sent to prison under that D.C. law, or both.
