Title 50 › Chapter 36— FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE SURVEILLANCE › Subchapter VII— PROTECTION OF PERSONS ASSISTING THE GOVERNMENT › § 1885b
No State may investigate, force disclosure, impose administrative penalties, or start civil cases about an electronic communication service provider’s alleged help to an intelligence agency. Only the United States can bring a lawsuit to enforce this, and federal district courts will hear those cases. This rule covers matters pending on or begun on or after July 10, 2008.
