Compute the pension of a retired Agency employee who is not designated under section 2152(a) and who served abroad after December 31, 1986, using these rules. Even if chapter 84 of title 5 says something different, the part of the pension for the service abroad must be figured under 5 U.S.C. 8415(e). The parts of the pension for any other creditable service must be figured under the 5 U.S.C. 8415 rules that apply to that service under the conditions in chapter 84.
