Defines key words used in the chapter. National security laboratory means Los Alamos National Laboratory (Los Alamos, New Mexico); Sandia National Laboratories (Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Livermore, California); and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (Livermore, California). Nuclear weapons production facility means Kansas City National Security Campus (Kansas City, Missouri); Pantex Plant (Amarillo, Texas); Y–12 National Security Complex (Oak Ridge, Tennessee); Savannah River Site (Aiken, South Carolina); Nevada National Security Site (Nevada); and any Department of Energy facility the Secretary of Energy, after consulting the Administrator and Congress, designates. Classified information means information that Executive Order No. 12333 (Dec. 4, 1981), Executive Order No. 12958 (Apr. 17, 1995), or later similar orders say must be protected and that is marked. Restricted Data is defined in 42 U.S.C. 2014(y). Congressional defense committees are the Senate and House Armed Services and Appropriations Committees. Nuclear security enterprise means the facilities, technology, and people of those labs and production sites.
