The Director of National Intelligence may use money available for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to support a covered workforce activity for any part of the intelligence community. The Director can do this whether or not the funds will be paid back. Within 30 days after using this authority, the Director must send a written notice to the congressional intelligence committees and to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees. A "covered workforce activity" means work related to recruiting or keeping intelligence workers, or work about diversity, equality, inclusion, or accessibility for that workforce.
