Title 50 › CHAPTER 45 — MISCELLANEOUS INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY AUTHORITIES › SUBCHAPTER II — PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIVE AUTHORITIES › § 3334l
Requires the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency to make sure every employee who leaves the Agency completes an exit survey or interview before departing, when possible. The Director must send a written analysis of those exit surveys each year for the 3-year period starting December 23, 2022, and include a plan to fix problems and improve retention and culture. If the Director does an ad-hoc workforce climate survey, the listed congressional committees must be told within 14 days. When any workforce climate survey ends, the Director must send the final results to those committees within 90 days. That report must say the survey topic and level, why it was done, how it was made accessible, who led it, and what actions the Director will take. Surveys must be available on both classified and unclassified systems when possible and while protecting intelligence sources and methods. The Director must also send a report no later than 270 days after December 23, 2022, on the feasibility (cost, staff, needed authorities, etc.) of 360-degree reviews and of adding leadership suitability checks for promotions to GS–14 or above. Definitions: "appropriate committees of Congress" — the congressional intelligence committees, the Senate and House Armed Services Committees, and the Defense subcommittees of each Appropriations Committee. "workforce climate survey" — an engagement or climate survey at agency, directorate, career field, or integrated intelligence center level; does not include exit surveys.
