Security Executive Agent — the official who serves in that role under law. Appropriate industry partner — a contractor, licensee, or grantee that takes part in the National Industrial Security Program. The leader of each federal agency must share security-clearance policies and related plans with industry partners who are directly affected, while protecting national security and the program’s goals. Within 90 days after December 20, 2019, the Security Executive Agent and the National Industrial Security Program Director must together create rules so cleared industry partners with a need to know can access the policies and plans that affect them.
