Title 50 › Chapter 45— MISCELLANEOUS INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY AUTHORITIES › Subchapter IV— COLLECTION, ANALYSIS, AND SHARING OF INTELLIGENCE › § 3374
Requires U.S. intelligence agencies to quickly warn a United States person inside the United States if they learn of an imminent threat. Agencies must consult the FBI when needed. After warning or helping warn the person, the agency head must immediately tell the FBI Director and, if the person is under federal protection, the person in charge of that protection. Notices to protectors can be sent in any fast, appropriate way, including through the FBI Director. The FBI Director must keep records of each such notice. Congress is especially concerned about deadly plots from adversary nations, notably Iran, against U.S. persons and former senior officials. United States person — defined by section 3039 of this title.
