§3522 Detail of Employees

Summary
The Director can assign any Agency employee to work at the National Reconnaissance Office on a reimbursable basis for as long as needed, even if other laws normally limit how long such assignments can last. The Director can also hire people to fill those assignments.

The Director may—
(1)detail any personnel of the Agency on a reimbursable basis indefinitely to the National Reconnaissance Office without regard to any limitation under law on the duration of details of Federal Government personnel; and
(2)hire personnel for the purpose of any detail under paragraph (1).
