Title 50 › Chapter 49— MILITARY SELECTIVE SERVICE › § 3810
The government must pay actual and reasonable emergency medical costs, including hospital care, for registrants who get sick or hurt while carrying out orders under this chapter. It must also pay to move and bury the remains of registrants who die while serving under such orders. The President may set rules for these payments. Burial costs cannot be higher than the maximum the Secretary of Veterans Affairs may pay under section 2303 of title 38 for the veterans listed in subparagraph (B) or (C) of subsection (a)(2).
