Title 50 › Chapter 50— SERVICEMEMBERS CIVIL RELIEF › Subchapter II— GENERAL RELIEF › § 3936
Do not count a servicemember’s time in military service when you figure deadlines to start lawsuits or official actions in state or federal courts or government agencies against the servicemember, their heirs, or people who handle their estate. Also don’t count that time for deadlines to redeem property sold or forfeited for a debt, tax, or assessment. This rule does not apply to deadlines under the internal revenue laws of the United States.
