Allows a servicemember on duty to take actions under law or Department of the Interior rules to protect, prove, or continue rights they began or had before joining the military. While serving, they may make sworn statements or give required proof before an officer who can notarize under 10 U.S.C. 1044a or a superior commissioned officer. Those statements are legally binding and false statements carry the same penalties as under 18 U.S.C. 1001.
