The Attorney General can file a federal civil lawsuit against someone who repeatedly breaks this law or whose violation is of major public importance. A court can order fixes or official rulings, give money to people harmed, and fine the violator up to $55,000 for a first offense and up to $110,000 for later offenses. A harmed person can join the case if they apply quickly and get the same relief, costs, and a reasonable lawyer fee.
