Title 50 › Chapter 52— RESTITUTION FOR WORLD WAR II INTERNMENT OF JAPANESE-AMERICANS AND ALEUTS › Subchapter II— ALEUTIAN AND PRIBILOF ISLANDS RESTITUTION › § 4233
Creates the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands Restitution Fund in the U.S. Treasury. The fund holds money appropriated under this subchapter and is run by the Secretary. The Secretary must report to Congress within 60 days after each fiscal year ends about the fund’s past and expected finances. Money in the fund must be invested under section 9702 of title 31. The Secretary must close the fund either 3 years after August 10, 1988, or 1 year after all authorized payments are made, whichever is later. On that date the Secretary must sell any investments, put the proceeds into the fund, and send any money left to the Treasury’s miscellaneous receipts account.
