Title 50 › Chapter 58— EXPORT CONTROL REFORM › Subchapter I— AUTHORITY AND ADMINISTRATION OF CONTROLS › § 4824
The Secretary must send Congress a yearly report by December 31 about how this subchapter was carried out in the previous fiscal year. The report must cover nine areas: how export, reexport, and in-country transfer controls affected U.S. national security or foreign policy, including license processing times; the controls’ effect on U.S. science and technology leadership; whether other countries’ controls are consistent with ours; help given to exporters, including small- and medium-sized businesses; a summary of regulatory changes from the prior fiscal year; a summary of enforcement actions, including end-use monitoring of items under the Export Administration Regulations; a summary of approved license applications to proscribed persons; efforts in the past year to meet section 4817 requirements, including any critical technologies identified and how they were controlled for export; and summaries of Department of Commerce industrial base assessments, including counterfeit electronics, foundational technologies, and other research on critical technologies and defense-related industrial capabilities. The report must be unclassified but may include a classified annex.
