Summary

You must not knowingly use the words "National Aeronautics and Space Administration" or the letters "NASA" — or any close copy — in a way that would make people think you are connected to, endorsed by, or authorized by NASA when that is not true. That ban covers using the name or letters as a business name or on any product or service offered to the public. A "person" here means an individual or organization. If the Attorney General believes someone is doing this, the government can sue in federal court to stop it.
