The NASA Administrator and the Director of the National Institutes of Health must set up a joint working group to coordinate biomedical research where microgravity could help understand or treat diseases. The group must plan joint and complementary research programs in those areas. Membership must be split equally between NASA and NIH, include NIH councils picked by the NIH Director, and include the NASA Advisory Council. The group must run a yearly symposium and send Congress an annual report on its work.
