Summary

The Secretary of Transportation can give grants to project sponsors to help make U.S. space transportation infrastructure more resilient. To qualify, private sources must pay at least 10 percent of the project's total cost, and the grant cannot cover more than 50 percent of that cost.

(a)To ensure the resiliency of the space transportation infrastructure of the United States, the Secretary of Transportation may make project grants to sponsors as provided in this chapter.
(b)The Secretary may make a project grant under this chapter only if—
(1)at least 10 percent of the total cost of the project will be paid by the private sector; and
(2)the grant will not be for more than 50 percent of the total cost of the project.
