§101301 Maintenance Management System

Summary

The Service must create a maintenance management system for its maintenance and operations. The system must include: an inventory of all assets (for example buildings, roads, utility systems, and grounds) with details that affect what work is needed; a list of maintenance tasks for each unit; work standards saying how often work is done, the quality to aim for, how to do the work, the labor/equipment/materials needed, and expected worker output; an annual work plan and budget; a prioritized work schedule; work orders that authorize jobs and record actual labor and material costs; and reports comparing planned versus actual work and costs.
