Authorizes money for eight purposes to help run and use parks and related areas. Money can pay to manage and care for recreation areas run with other federal agencies under cooperative agreements; cover local travel and food for unpaid workers or helpers attending fire training camps; manage the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal; fund educational talks at park sites and let park staff work with certain nonprofit science and history groups; pay employee travel for forest-fire, police academy, and building-fire training; investigate and obtain water rights or land needed to protect park waters; cover official field telephone service, including phones in private homes if allowed by the Secretary; and provide transportation for nearby children to and from park sites used for organized recreation and education programs.
