Title 54 › Subtitle Subtitle I— National Park System › Chapter 1035— NATIONAL PARK CENTENNIAL CHALLENGE FUND › § 103501
Creates a Treasury account called the National Park Centennial Challenge Fund. Each fiscal year, money from National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass sales by the National Park Service that is over $10,000,000 must go into the Fund and is available to the Secretary until spent. The Fund pays for Secretary-approved projects or programs that help the Park Service and improve visitor experiences. It cannot be used to buy land. Money from the Fund can only be spent if matched at least 1-to-1 by non-Federal donations (cash or fairly valued durable goods and materials). Money from the Second Century Endowment does not count as a non-Federal donation for that match.
