§200401 Definitions

Defines key words used in this chapter. Asset means real property or tangible things like buildings, groups of structures, landscapes, or trails that have a clear purpose and are tracked and managed separately by the agency in charge. Covered agency lists five agencies: the Service; the United States Fish and Wildlife Service; the Forest Service; the Bureau of Land Management; and the Bureau of Indian Education. Fund means the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund set up in section 200402(a). Project means any work to reduce or eliminate deferred maintenance on an asset, including fixing related infrastructure problems that alone might not be called deferred maintenance.
