§200506 Non-federal Share of Project Costs

Summary

Non-Federal shares of project costs can come from state or local revenues, state grants or special state appropriations, gifts of land or buildings or building materials, and services like construction, planning, or technical help. Local costs to create a recovery action plan can count only if the local government did not get a recovery action program grant. Money from the Land and Water Conservation Fund or other Federal grant programs cannot be used as the match, except for community development block grant programs. The Secretary must encourage States and private groups to provide as much of the non-Federal share as they can.
