§303903 Preservation Education and Training Program

Summary

The Secretary must work with the Council and other federal, tribal, Native Hawaiian, and non‑federal groups to create and run a wide preservation education and training program. It must do four things: set standards and give more training to federal preservation staff; offer training for other government workers and students; give technical or money help to HBCUs, tribal colleges, and colleges with many Native American or Native Hawaiian students to start preservation programs; and, when appropriate, coordinate with the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training to share technology information, include trades and skills in federal training, and support related research and conservation work.
