§308104 Battlefield Interpretation Modernization Grant Program

Summary

The Secretary must create a grant program to fund technology that modernizes how people learn about and interpret battlefields. States, Tribes, local governments, and nonprofit groups can compete for these grants for Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War battlefields that qualify under the battlefield acquisition grant program. The federal government can pay no more than 50% of each project’s cost, and $1,000,000 is authorized each fiscal year from 2020 through 2028 to make these grants.
