§308104 Battlefield Interpretation Modernization Grant Program

Summary

Creates a grant program to give competitive grants to States, Tribes, local governments, and nonprofit groups. The money is for projects that use technology to modernize how Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War battlefields are interpreted and taught, and it can be used at sites that already qualify for battlefield acquisition grants. The federal government will pay no more than 50% of any project’s cost. Congress authorized $1,000,000 each year to fund these grants for fiscal years 2020 through 2028.
