Title 54 › Subtitle Subtitle III— National Preservation Programs › Chapter 3085— NATIONAL WOMEN’S RIGHTS HISTORY PROJECT › § 308501
The Secretary can give yearly grants to State historic preservation offices for up to 5 years to help them survey, evaluate, and nominate women's rights history places to the National Register of Historic Places. Grants should be given first to sites that show many parts of the movement (politics, economics, education, religion, and social and family rights). The Secretary must update the "Places Where Women Made History" travel website with the inventory results and any related links. The federal share of project costs is 50 percent. There is $1,000,000 authorized for the Secretary for each of fiscal years 2012 and 2013 to carry out this work.
