Subagencies of the Department of Homeland Security must give the CCHT any information needed for the strategy and proposal required under section 4(a) and any extra data analysis to help CCHT understand human trafficking issues. No later than 1 year after December 27, 2022, the CCHT Director must send Congress a report naming any laws needed to help DHS end human trafficking. No later than 1 year after December 27, 2022, and every year after, the Secretary of Homeland Security must send Congress a report that shows the numbers of screened and identified potential victims of trafficking (as defined in section 7102(17) of title 22) at or near the U.S.–Mexico border, including age ranges and countries of origin, and an update on efforts to set up protocols and methods for personnel to report human trafficking under the DHS Strategy published in January 2020.
