Summary
Starting April 1, 2007, the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) must run the radiological emergency preparedness program and the chemical stockpile emergency preparedness program. This responsibility applies even if other federal laws say something different.

Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal law, as of April 1, 2007, the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency shall be responsible for the radiological emergency preparedness program and the chemical stockpile emergency preparedness program.
