§346 Consolidation and Co-location of Offices

Summary

The Secretary must, no later than one year after November 25, 2002, make and send Congress a plan to combine offices and put related offices in the same locations. The plan must cover regional or field offices moved into the Department under this chapter when they are in the same city, and parts of regional or field offices of other federal agencies when those parts do work that was also moved to the Secretary under this chapter.

Not later than 1 year after November 25, 2002, the Secretary shall develop and submit to Congress a plan for consolidating and co-locating—
(1)any regional offices or field offices of agencies that are transferred to the Department under this chapter, if such officers 11 So in original. Probably should be “offices”. are located in the same municipality; and
(2)portions of regional and field offices of other Federal agencies, to the extent such offices perform functions that are transferred to the Secretary under this chapter.
