Units of the Department that count as National Drug Control Program Agencies must make drug-enforcement work a part of job reviews for any employee who helps enforce drug laws. Reviews should use clear, objective measures when possible. They must consider at least how much the employee helped seize illegal drugs or arrest violators and how well the employee worked with others, inside the Department or with other agencies, on drug enforcement. National Drug Control Program Agency: an agency covered by federal drug-control rules or any Department part the counternarcotics officer says has major drug-fighting duties. Performance appraisal system: any program that gives regular job performance reviews.
